Edern Landais
I still don’t know whether I should consider myself an artist or not. I draw, I sketch, I paint, I photograph; but at the end of the day everybody has had some type of interaction with art. Art is omnipresent in our lives., it rules our world and can imperceptibly take any form or shape. Any object or situation can be interpreted on an artistic level or dimension. and Tthe subjectivity of art is what makes it so grand. Someone else might have a different perception of my art but I perceive it as a realistic or abstract depiction of my everyday life and surroundings. My art is a compilation of contrasts between light and dark, real and non real, chromatic and monochromatic. My art is the subtle, tangible translation of the billions of intangible images and thoughts that my brain processes every day. Knowing how to express oneself yourself through art is like learning a new language, and I think I am on my way to being fluent.
