Art has been my outlet since I was two years old.
Artistic creation is a process of transforming ideas into entities. The inspiration, emotion and personalized expression of the artist run through the whole creation process. I strive to be uninhibited in my world. Art, both subjective and inclusive, has become the medium through which I communicate with others and with myself.
When I was a child, I was always driven by a primal passion. I had to paint wild and unrealistic stories on paper, and the work I created was often a mess. My mother chided me many times for "wasting paper," but she couldn't stop me from wasting more. My passion for art cannot be curbed, even today. Drawing feels as essential as breathing.
After I entered high school, with the improvement of my artistic abilities and my deeper thinking on considerations about "beauty" and "time", my artwork creation subjects became more targeted. I understand that art can be a form for ideas to travel through time. Beauty, both superficial dn conceptual, has been used throughout time as a symbol of transformation. The lotus blossom in Buddhism is one example of this. Currently I am fascinated by beauty and want to record beauty, past and present--in essence, to "catch" the ephemeral and make it enduring.
