Art has always been the center of my world. Growing up with artist parents, making art was always encouraged. This drive to constantly put art onto a page has allowed me to create artworks based on my own view of the world around me and has enabled me to be able to create my own ideas instantaneously. Whether it was sketching, painting, sculpting, printmaking, or jewelry making, cultivating art has not only been a way for me to put all of the ideas and thoughts in my head into a physical work, but also has allowed me to find myself. I express my sense of being through my art as I allow my concepts to spill onto a canvas; it's a release.
A lot of my art is centered on things I see in my life or creations from my head; character design, gestural sketches, doodles, objective drawings. But in each of my pieces is a little part of me. My art, like my thought process, is fast-paced and chaotic. My art is loud and never quiet, a lot like my mind; it's a blessing and a curse. My art isn't just what I see; it's what I feel, and it has followed me throughout my life and helped me to define who I am and who I aspire to be.
