Freeman Rabb
"I believe all art carries a certain identity, whether it be landscape, portrait, or abstract. There's always an element of human nature that the artist has imprinted on the piece. In my work I try to seize on that. With every project I work on I try to emulate one or a few tendencies of humanity, and put a distorted spin on it. When I work, I make it my goal to capture the essence of the topic by showing how I view it. Whether the topic is self image or a societal portrait, I use colors, symbolism and the fantastical to express how I see it in my mind’s eye. I use a consistent palette to give a pattern of vibrance to odd and off putting creations, and clunky strokes to contrast the beauty in the work. This is my style."
